04 Nov What and how

The story is recorded in my fathers face and reflected on ours, like ripples through time, it provides a foundation and gives us context.
‘Skin Deep’ celebrates the true diversity of the human face and challenges the current narrative of western portraiture with a focus on representing people from BAME communities. At the heart of the project are three portraits representing three generations, my father, my daughter and myself. I will record the process as it unfolds in the Blog.
The final abstract portraits will be rendered in high resolution and output as high quality A5 prints. Visitors will be able to purchase a set of prints in the Shop. The prints will work in conjunction with the AR Gallery where users will be able to interact with the sculptural element of the work in their own space.
The portraits and sculpture will also be exhibited in the 3D Gallery.
Please note at the time of writing ‘Skin Deep’ is at concept stage and is subject to change as the project evolves.
